I have at least 3 30 Days meme's saved and ready to go.

Hmmm...question...I'm curious about this because as I found out on the other meme's, it's *super* hard to narrow down to Very Tip Top of your list for anything, but as I did a quick scan...

For Day 1, one of the first characters to spring to mind for me was Santiago Herrera from FNL. He was a Mexican character played by an Italian-American actor (Benny Ciaramello).

For Day 2, she might not be Tip Top of the list (I'd have to give all of this more than three minutes of thought) but she would definitely be Top 5 is Rebecca Logan from Greek, played by Dilshad Vadsaria. Dilshad is Pakistani but Rebecca, from her name and the other members of her family we've seen I guess is supposedly a Caucasian character.

I guess this isn't really the point of this 30 Day, but it did make me start thinking about all of this...

Anyway, just wondering out loud...

That is really hard because we don't really see Rebecca's mom. We do meet her dad and he is white. It's a tough call. Like Charisma is multi-racial but Cordelia is coded white. I never got the sense that Rebecca was coded white, I always thought she was coded bi-racial.

But again, it is pretty much up to however people want to interpret it. Like if someone feels character X is non-white, go for it. It's a meme. LOL And it depends on where you live too. In Europe, my answers on a census/poll are different than when I lived in South America or when I lived in the US because of the way the categories are defined.

There is actually a really great book called The History of White People which talks all about how white became well white. LOL

It's really interesting to think about these things- being multi-racial, etc. I'm Asian on my dad's side, which some people pick up on and some people don't. Basically I'm as Asian as the Jon & Kate Plus 8 kids, but I don't look it.

And on my mom's side, being Sicilian...well that would be considered 'white', but when my great-grandmother came over early last century, it was not.

Excellent food for thought, miss...
