30 Days of TV Meme - Day 18

Watch here since people looooooove to disable embedding

Okay, so there are some awesome opening credits out there. Like every single HBO and Showtime show. I've seen most of them pop up on my list. I think why I love the Nip/Tuck credits is because it says so much about the show. These people so obsessed with perfect that they turn into plastic people. And the song, omg the song. God, it works way too well. I love it.

My husband however, suggested this and didn't like it at all when I started doing this

HBO and Showtime definitely have the best opening sequences! The sequences for True Blood and Dexter are my favorites. I've never seen the sequence for Nip/Tuck, but maybe I'll go look it up now!

I think because they don't have commercials, they can put more of an effort into longer credits. They don't have the time crunch a lot of cable/network shows have. I mean, like every Showtime/HBO credits I've seen, I've loved them.

LMFAO DUDE! Chris is amazing! I totes went with an old school sequence. But, not THAT old school.

ROFLMAO @ your reaction to his suggestion ♥
Kelly: Cordy: SQUEExlivvielockex on July 14th, 2010 05:32 am (UTC)
Chris is just an old man, that is why. LOL

I sing that ALL the time, which is probably why he was so damned annoyed.

Seinfeld clip made my day, as only Seinfeld clips can.

Oh, and three cheers for HBO/Showtime budgeting for good title sequences. I can't think of a single show off the top of my head from those two networks that I don't like.
Kelly: Buffy: Beneath You Spuffyxlivvielockex on July 14th, 2010 05:32 am (UTC)
Exactly! I love premium network tv. So much win.

And Seinfeld clips never fail to make me LOL.

*snerk* Oh George. How I miss you're ridiculousness.

That made me smile!

Love the choice, though I've never really watched the show. I get all squicky with the cutting open of people.
Kelly: Doctor Who: Bad Wolfxlivvielockex on July 14th, 2010 05:33 am (UTC)
It is weird because in real life, blood, guts, etc doesn't bother me but on tv, it creeps me out bad. I can always keep a cool head in emergency situations but Nip/Tuck and the surgery scenes...ewww!

SAME HERE!!! I can't stand it on tv, but in real life adrenaline just seems to kick in and I'm fine until it's all over.
Debdamnskippytoo on June 19th, 2010 03:48 pm (UTC)
I never watched Nip/Tuck but that is a pretty awesome title sequence. BUT OMG! AAH! I LOVED THAT SHOW AND CONNIE SELLECA WAS SO HOT! :D
Kelly: C/A Antidrugxlivvielockex on July 14th, 2010 05:34 am (UTC)
Did you see they were doing a marathon a week ago on Syfy? Chris was loving it sfm.

Nip/Tuck is good in a very cracky way. Like it's SO over the top, it's win.

Kelly: ATS: Wes RAWR!xlivvielockex on July 14th, 2010 05:34 am (UTC)
He was totally asking for it going there. LOL And I sing George's answering machine like all the time so my husband should have expected it!
Jessjessm on June 21st, 2010 02:26 pm (UTC)
Awesome choice! They're such creepily appropriate credits.
Kellyxlivvielockex on July 14th, 2010 05:35 am (UTC)
They are so creepy. it sets the tone for the whole show.
