30 Days of Tv Meme - Day 13

I'm breaking the rules cause well, how do you pick? If we are talking really young, then Care Bears all the way. I used to watch it with my grandad, along with Rainbow Brite

But getting older than that, it was all about...

Saved By The Bell

Even when I was growing up, that scene made me LMAO. It almost won for best scene ever cause omfg, the over the top cheese. I'M SO EXCITED! I'M SO EXCITED! I'M SO...SCARED! Go take your clothes off, Jessie! LOL

I wrote Mark Paul Gosselaar a fan letter, no lie. He never wrote me back but I was that into the show. I hated when I had early morning games because I had to miss it so my dad used to tape it for me. I had those tear out posters from Bop ALL over my walls. It was nuts. I STILL to this day, have mp3s of the Zach Attack on my hard drive.

And another show I could not miss.

Out of this World

I used to pretend I was Evie and that I could stop time with my fingers, no lie. I was a strange kid. Strange.

I wish they would put it out on DVD. I would buy it so fast and for just about any price. Same with Parker Lewis. They only have S1 out on DVD.

I feel the same way. I'm getting all excited to see what people put down, how they answered things, etc. So much fun. SO MUCH!

And I STILL watch Saved by the Bell episodes. They rerun really early here so if I'm up and have missed the Angel rerun, it's Bell all the way.

Out of this World had...four seasons I think? It wasn't very popular so they pulled it. I want it on DVD so bad. I know there are episodes on Youtube.

Sabrina is almost always on in my office in the afternoons when I'm working. That is another one I've probably seen most of the episodes more than 5 times.

I hated when they got rid of the Aunts and she started working for Scorch though. But I have to admit, Sabrina/Harvey 4eva. FOUR-EVA!

YES! OMG Saved By the Bell, why are you so cheesy/awesome?
Kelly: Buffy: Spuffy Arkaniumxlivvielockex on June 13th, 2010 11:16 pm (UTC)
I don't think they make preteen shows like that anymore. At least not from what I have seen with my goddaughter. I loved all those after school specialy episodes they would do. Like when the movie star came to film at the school and tried to get them to do drugs. And the head of NBC did the special message at the end.

Cheesome! (Cheesy + awesome)

Oh man, Clarissa was my shit when I was a kid. Saved by the Bell was always on when I was out of the house, but Nickelodeon would have all these Clarissa or Kenan and Kel reruns after my "bedtime" and I'd stay up with it. Did wonders for my English back then.
Kelly: Doctor Who: Blondexlivvielockex on June 15th, 2010 05:49 pm (UTC)
I could so show my age because Kenan and Kel actually started on another show before they had their own. And my brother used to watch that one. LOL

I loved that Clarissa had an alligator for a pet. And vegetarian parents, that was so strange for a kid my age to see. Loved it.

On top of that Saved By The Bell and CARE BEARS(♥)? LOOOOOOVES IT!

I didn't see this the first time around. I get to use a gif!!

When will you learn that we are twins? LOL

It's so funny cause the guy that played Kubiac on Parker Lewis, no matter what he is in, I always call him Kub. So does my mind.

And Parker's dad owned a video store, just like my dad! I wanted to be Parker when I grew up so bad. I thought all principals were like Ms. Musso

The saddest thing ever was on My Name is Earl, Tim Stack plays himself and he says something like "People tell me I was on a show called Parker Lewis Can't Lose for three years but I don't remember that."

And that gif of SBTB is cracking me up. Oh Zach, why did they make you try to date Lisa? *sighs and shakes head*

I think I was born a few years too late or was never around the house when it was on to get into Saved By The Bell. (And if it's the age then it's only just barely cause my BFF LOVES it and I'm only like 2 1/2 years younger than her.)

BUT OMG HEY DUDE AND CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL!!!!! I loved those shows to death! Also Salute Your Shorts and Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Kellyxlivvielockex on June 15th, 2010 05:59 pm (UTC)
Oh Salute Your Shorts. Why was my summer camp never as fun as Camp Anawanna? And Donkey Lips, I mean, that was probably one of the coolest nicknames ever.

I wish they would release Are You Afraid on DVD. Actually, all those Old Nick shows. Or at least reshow them. I think they could make some bank. Better than most of the crap that is on.
Eibhlin with a B: star wars: han leia kissimpetusofadream on June 16th, 2010 01:18 am (UTC)
My summer camp was inherently lamer than Anawanna cause we didn't have a lake. *but we did have horses.*

I was always amused by the fact that Pinsky ended up in the band Rilo Kiley with the daughter from Troop Beverly Hills.

I am totally of the same generation as you. Saved by the Bell, Out of this World and Snick (remember Snick? before Nickelodeon became a breeding ground for the next foil to Disney teen queens like Miley and Hilary?) have such a special place in my psyche. I still know all the words to too many Nikelodeon show theme songs (and I now have the Camp Anawana song stuck in my head, thank you very much!), and spent every Saturday morning watching whatever Teen NBC decided to shove down my throat and loving it. Because at twelve I was totally too old for Saturday morning cartoons.

Oh, and for a nice dose of nostalgia, here's a brilliant little web series that celebrates one of Bayside's greats.

A friend linked me that Team Tiger Awesome ages ago but god, it still makes me laugh.

And I loved Snick, sfm! I wish they made shows like they did in the old days. Tv (and toys today) are pretty worthless.
