Jan Good Evil Drabble Challenge 2
I am doing the drabble challenge over at good__evil for the month of Jan. Every day is a different character. Hopefully, I can do all 31. I am going to use this as the keeping track post. But if you like it, just pop over there and comment, please. They are a great little community.

This is going to be the entry for Days 12-21

Title: Always Hurts The First Time
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: R-ish
Character: Gwen
Word Count: 100

It always hurts the first time.

It was more of an uncomfortableness, a feeling of being full, some sort of new sensation. And a bit of burning, like an irritation. All the gymnastics and stretching of her body to make her the best thief made this moment easier.

It always hurts the first time.

A week passed, there was no call. Nothing to tell her that he had a good time, to do it again. She had been expecting the phone to ring, if only to say I never want to see you again.

It always hurts the first time.

Title: Lies My Friends Told Me
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Dawn
Word Count: 100

“And then, Shane totally threw up ALL over my clothes! Dawn, what did you do this weekend?”

Hearing her name, Dawn perked up. How could she tell her group of friends that her sister was The Slayer and that she spent the weekend researching the rising of some demon and how to kill it. “I was grounded. My sister caught me stealing a beer and then me smoking with this...older guy, Spike that I hang out with. He is so cool, he is from England.”

“Ooooh, Dawn, that is so badass. Too bad your sister is such a tool.”

Title: Hell
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Holtz
Word Count: 100

This wasn’t Hell. This was merely a stop over, a place in time and space to train Stephen. To turn Stephen against his real father, turn him into a monster, just as Angelus had done with his daughter. There would be no reading, writing, or arithmetic but instead lessons would be sword fighting, archery, hand to hand combat.

No, this wasn’t really Hell. He had seen Hell, heard it. He saw it in the death mask of his wife, his son looking like a broken doll. He heard it in the screams of his child as the sun devoured her.

These drabbles are not related. I just didn’t want to do four seperate posts for them. The last one is just something really silly that was kicking around in my mind thanks to my rant that boy_named_susie mentioned in her drabbles here and here

Title: Knowledge
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Angel (Shades of C/A)
Word Count: 100

He knew it wasn’t her. Always knew.

Once a vibrant girl who was crushed with visions that nearly killed her, now her body stolen. This was his fault. His mission had become her mission, his curse was now her curse. His love, his touch, only brought evil, even with his soul. He had to kill her to save her.

He grabbed the sword from the weapons cabinet, knowing he had to end this. Knowing now how Buffy felt when she plunged the sword into him. She knew then too, just as he knew now. They were not made to love.

Title: The Last Touch
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Angel (Shades of C/A)
Word Count: 100

“She needs these.” He growled into the funeral director’s face, barely able to keep his demon from showing.

“Sir, we don’t usually...” The man trailed off as Angel shook him.

“Her feet get cold.” Was his only reply before he set the man down roughly.

The man stumbled back Angel shoved something into his arms before turning to walk away. He looked down at the items. They didn’t usually put shoes on a corpse. But he felt if he didn’t make an exception, slip the fuzzy slippers onto the feet of one Cordelia Chase, hers wouldn’t be the only funeral.

------------------------------------

Title: Truthiness
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Angel (Shades of C/A)
Word Count: 100

He should have told her. About Connor. About Cordelia. About everything in L.A. He could have told her a million things but with her, he always played at vague illusion and subterfuge. He couldn’t let her in, not the way he had with his friends in L.A. She had seen the worst of him and turned away. They had seen the worst of him and embraced it. He remembered her words during her only trip to L.A. and that is when he realized, it wasn’t she who didn’t trust him, it was he who didn’t trust her.

Title: Too Many Cooks
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Angel
Word Count: 100

Angel struggled as the group of burly orderlies wrestled him to the ground to get the straight jacket on him. One of the psychiatric hospital’s best doctors looked on, preparing a mild sedative.

“This is for your own good, sir. It is obvious by your actions over the past seven years, you are suffering from a severe form of multiple personality disorder. Your personality and motivations seem to change erratically. As if there are several different versions of “Angel”, some of them contradictory.”

“No!” Angel yelled, as he struggled more. “It was just bad writing. Bad writing I tell you!”

Title: Five Shoes Cordelia Chase Never Owned
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Cordelia
Word Count: 500 (5 100 word drabbles)

Cordelia looked into the glass window at one of the upscale boutiques on Rodeo. She didn’t know why she came here, she couldn’t afford a scarf, let alone a whole outfit. Maybe it was to escape her life. She stared with a lustful gaze at the Manolos. They were perfect, a shining example of craftsmanship and high fashion. But the price tag, that was more than her rent and bills for three months. Her stomach growled, pulling her from fantasies of Hollywood parties and rubbing elbows with the stars. She headed back to her haunted apartment and a frozen pizza.

-----------------------------

“Put them on, cow.” The troll of a woman yelled as she pushed the “shoes” closer towards Cordelia.

“My god, what are those made of? Dung and straw? This potato sack was degrading enough! You know, people work better when they feel better. And my designer accessories make ME feel better!” Cordelia protested, regardless of consequences.

“I paid a good pig for you so do as you are told.” Cordelia felt the sharp sting of the collar as the old demon woman pressed the button down. She tossed the shoes at her “cow”. She wasn’t even worth that one pig.

---------------------------

Cordelia was walking along a broadwalk in Mexico. It wasn’t so much a boardwalk as a collection of people with folding tables. She paused at one of them, picking up a pair of knitted baby booties. They were colorful, like a rainbow, and just holding them in her hand was enough to bring a smile to her face. She missed them all. She didn’t realize how much she needed her family until she was away from them.

She paid for the booties, putting them into her bag. She couldn’t wait to get back to put them on Connor’s tiny feet.

---------------------------

She was screaming but the thing couldn’t hear her. She was so angry as she watched this thing using her body trying to jam its swollen feet into her most treasured pairs of Jimmy Choos. Angel had given those to her as part of her Please Forgive Me clothing package present. Sure, this thing hijacked her body and used it for disgusting unspeakable acts (can we say eww, much?) but this was pushing it. It broke the strap even as it tried to jam that pregnancy inflated gunboat into the slingbacks. Who wears high heels when they are pregnant anyway?!

---------------------------

Wes and Angel looked uncomfortable. But they deserved it. They had stuck her in a hospital and she knew when they visited. They probably thought ‘oh, coma victim, can’t hear a thing’ but she heard it all. She picked up a pair of Manolo heels. She knew she would be leaving soon, all part of the deal. But The Powers never said she couldn’t at least look good for her limited time on Earth. She had traded so much, just for this pair of shoes. They all had. She would fix that, as soon as she got a matching purse.

Title: Braveheart
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Cordelia
Word Count: 100
A/N Dialogue taken from "Tomorrow" (Angel Season 3 finale). Inspired from an essay I read forever ago.

“There is work to be done in the higher realms.”

“These higher realms...do they have a Mall? Expensive restaurants? Nice cars?”

“Cordelia, what you are being called to do--”

“I’ll take that as a no. Well, then, I am not going.”

“What? Cordelia, going is the right thing.”

“You heard me, Skip. You are a great demon guide and all but I am about to have the single most important conversation in my life. And yeah, I would give that up for The Powers. I’ll give up on love, but they can’t expect me to give up my Mall.”

Title: Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Ethan
Word Count: 100

The first time, he turned a rat into a small Krovach demon. It was a rush unlike anything he had ever experienced before. He could feel the world and he knew that he was in complete control of it. Every cell in his body felt alive and when the rush wore off, he knew he needed more. He needed that power over existence.

An hour later, he was back in the shop, shoving crystals and herbs in every pocket of his jacket and pants, loading his arms down with ever rare spell book in the place. He felt like God.

Title: Four and Whores Are Wild
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Clem
Word Count: 100
A/N: I blame Foamy for this...entirely.

“I will see your litter and raise you FIVE rare Egyptian Sphinxes.” Clem said, trying to keep his best poker face.

“Five?! You’ve gone mad, mate.” Spike paused for only a moment, his brain whirling as he tried to think of something to match five of the most expensive kittens in the world. “I’ll give ya The Slayer for a night.”

“SPIKE!” Buffy protested. She quieted as she saw the four of a kind. How could he lose?

Clem grinned as he set down his royal flush.

Spike’s eyes got big before turning to Buffy with a shrug. “Sorry, love.”

Title: A Guy Thing
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG-13 (for innuendo)
Character: Xander (mention of Willow/Tara)
Word Count: 100

The first time Xander walked in on them, Willow and Tara thought it was by accident. He didn’t see much, just them practising a spell.

The third time he opened the door, Tara began to suspect something but Willow assured her that was just Xander being Xander. He had a habit of opening the wrong door at the wrong time.

By the fifth time, they both knew that something was going on. It was just male curiosity, right? Totally harmless.

After the tenth time, they bought a lock for the door and the Where The Boys Aren’t series for Xander.

Title: Powers That Screw Ya!
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: PG
Character: Doyle
Word Count: 100

Doyle had been saving this cash up for a special occasion. Maybe get Cordelia something nice or get Angel some black market polar bear blood. Bookies, junkies, whores, and pimps all made for great company but they were hardly what you could call friends.

But when he passed the track, he couldn’t help himself. Dark Avenger, California Girl, and Irish Eyes, all running in the fourth race of the day.

Irish Eyes went out first, thanks to injury. He was followed by California Girl. And Dark Avenger was too busy running circles in his stall to even leave the gate.

Title: Rosa Parks Never Envisioned This
Author: xlivvielockex
Rating: R (for language)
Character: Mr. Trick
Word Count: 100
Timeline: Early-Mid 1960s
A/N: Inspired by the line in Homecoming. (I think that is where the line is from)

He entered the diner, looking the place over. It was dead this time of night, close to closing. Only him and the good ol’boy behind the counter, who was sweating grease and gravy.

He placed his hands on the counter, just looking at Bubba Blue, waiting for him to say something.

“This counter’s fer Whites Only. Or ken’t ya read, nigga?”

He grabbed the man by the overalls, yanking him over. He sunk his fangs into the rolls of slick skin of the other man, drinking deeply. Having dinner at a ‘Whites Only’ counter was one small step towards integration.
